Dr. Google vs Dr. Non-Virtual

“Please do not confuse your google search with my medical degree” a phrase that became very real for many doctors in the digital age as patients seem to now first turn to Google for medical advice. In a way it is understandable, Google is by your side 24/7 with no waiting rooms and no/little cost, why is it then that this is one of the most frustrating things for a non-virtual doctor? It’s not because they feel threatened, but because they know Dr. Google is more likely to do harm than good to the patient.
